Nurse Cherry Cottage

Number 1 Nurse Cherry Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage situated in Reeth, Swaledale. It offers every home comfort, having the charm of an old cottage with all the modern conveniences of a new one. It is situated on a quiet back lane but within two minutes walk to the village green and all it’s amenities.
The cottage has been awarded a four star gold from Quality in Tourism.

Modern kitchen

The fully modernised shaker style kitchen has a cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. There is a large separate utility room housing the washing machine/tumble dryer/Sheila Maid. Plus there is ample space for bikes if needed and lots of hooks for coats and racks for muddy boots!!!

Cosy living room with open fire

The large lounge has two sofas, a flatscreen tv, dvd player, cd/radio, wi-fi and a docking station, A lovely open fire offers those cosy winter evenings in. There are plenty of toys, games, books, walks and maps to peruse.

Two Bedrooms

There are two bedrooms both with quality white bedding and original old pine wardrobes and drawers. Both rooms have lovely views from the windows. One of the bedrooms has twin beds and the other a king size bed. We do provide a cot and highchair if needed although we don’t provide cot bedding.

Garden with table and chairs for al-fresco dining and BBQ

The lovely cottage garden is a real sun trap and a great place to sit and enjoy reading a book and listen to the birds. There’s a table and chairs for al-fresco dining or deckchairs and benches for catching the rays!! A portable bbq is available too for cooking the locally made sausages!

The essentials

The price includes all heating, bedding and towels. The cottage is really warm benefitting from fully oil fired central heating with radiators in each room.

All those little extras that you don’t have to bring include hand soaps, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, washing up liquid, cleaning detergents, toilet rolls, bin bags, dish cloths and pan scrub.

The village and local amenities

The Village green and all its’ amenities including the pubs, tea rooms, post office, newsagents, tourist office, ice-cream parlour, bakery, pottery, apple orchard, church and general store are only a two minute stroll from the cottage as is the local bus stop in case you don’t want to drive. The river is only a ten minute walk away as are many other different walks, you really don’t need your car once you arrive at the cottage, making Reeth an ideal centre for exploring all the dales have to offer.
